Teaching Philosophy
The Method
Today there are many various false kinds of teaching philosophy both in the world and in Christian seminaries and colleges. Pantheism, naturalism, intellectualism, evolution, so-called higher criticism, which is practically disguised atheism, are earnestly and zealously advocated among learned professors in the world of popular education. The very heart of teachings found in these institutions will only delay the coming of Jesus rather than hasten it. An entire change of this teaching philosophy is a must now in order to prepare an army of God’s final generation. Jesus, our prime Example, has given us instruction on how to teach people.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. (Matthew 28:19, 20, emphasis added)
In response to Christ’s calling, Aenon Training Centre accepted the call to
- Acknowledge that Christ must be their main Instructor
- Do the work of healing through simple treatments
- Preach the most urgent message of the everlasting gospel
- Underline biblical true education, not worldly greatness, for the salvation of man and to prepare a group of last generation people for the finishing of God’s work
The Original School Model
We should always remember that the system of education at the beginning of the world was to be a model for man throughout all of time.
“As an illustration of its principles a model school was established in Eden, the home of our first parents. The Garden of Eden was the schoolroom, nature was the lesson book, the Creator Himself was the instructor, and the parents of the human family were the students.” (Education, p. 20)
The Counterfeit Education
But sadly today Satan counterfeited the education with sports and amusement, and the so-called academic freedom. The divine educational pattern has never encompassed competitive sports, for rivalry is inimical to the kingdom of love and righteousness. Yet physical education is the foundation to true God-centered education.
Aenon Training Centre believes that theory and practical work must go hand-in-hand together. Therefore Aenon Training School provides agricultural training, dish washing, office communication, house-keeping, and a variety of works that will enhance the quality of students to be effectively serving in various areas.
It is true that “knowledge is power.” Many secular colleges and theological seminaries are pursuing knowledge to secure social acceptance. Yet, Knowledge is power, but it is a power for good only when united with true piety. (Counsels to Parents, Teachers, and Students, p. 38, emphasis added)
Secular knowledge is power; but the knowledge of the Word, which has a transforming influence upon the human mind, is imperishable. (Maranatha, p. 63)
